When are the roads the most slippery?
A. Right after it starts raining.
B. After it has been raining for awhile.
C. Right after it is done raining.
The correct answer is "A", because tire wear leaves oily residue on the road's surface during dry conditions, and when it mixes with some water, that is what makes the road slippery. However, the more rain that falls, the more the oily residue is washed off the road, and the less slippery the road becomes during the rainfall.
